Couples seeking cozy charm
The decor during the Christmas season was just lovely, really added to the atmosphere, ya know? And the breakfast? Pristine coffee and attentive staff that had us feeling like royalty, not just another guest.
It wasn't exactly bargain basement prices but still pretty reasonable, I guess.

exploring parks and landmarks made easy from this hotel
I found it so convenient to stroll to nearby Eamont Bridge just a little over a kilometer away and admire the historic charm. The friendly staff made my stay even more enjoyable as they were always eager to help guests like me, single travelers, feel at home. however, the shower screen could use a bit of cleaning.

Clean, cozy stay!
Just had a night here and it was pretty solid. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for recharging after a long drive. Breakfast hit the spot too! Only thing that bugged me was the noise from people walking by—it got loud at times. Still, easy parking and a nice vibe overall!

The super king size bed ensured a comfortable night’s sleep, complemented by an absolutely beautiful breakfast featuring high-quality butchers' sausages. The staff were exceptional, being both attentive and friendly, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. the rear car parking access was a bit tricky, taking a circuitous route, and more information on nearby attractions would have been appreciated.

The location of The George in Penrith is fantastic, right near the town center. I enjoyed the spacious room with cozy bathrobes provided. The breakfast had plenty of choices and everything tasted great. Staff were friendly and very welcoming, which I appreciated. there were issues with the shower. It took too long to warm up and didn't get hot enough. The room decor felt tired and in need of some updating. At times, noise from the outside bar area was disruptive, especially during the night. The dining areas and communal spaces weren’t as clean as I’d like. There was visible dust on stairs and debris in the dining areas. The parking situation was convenient, but I found the additional charge for it a bit unexpected.

The George provided an excellent experience during my business stay. The atmosphere was pleasantly inviting with a classic charm that made it feel unique. Staff were highly professional and responsive, assisting effectively with my work-related requests. The complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable and facilitated smooth communication, while the central location allowed easy access to key business areas.
The room felt a bit dated and could benefit from modernization.
